Welcome to the features page. here you can get to grips with the features that StartASite offers. There are two main sections:
Main Modules, these are the modules that all customers will recieve and are the backbone of the StartASite system.
Additional Modules, these are the additional modules you can get to work with your website. Not all modules are suitable for all websites and for that reason are not included as standard in all websites.
Main Modules
Configuration
The configuration feature is the first key feature you must set up to ensure you get the best from your website.
Here you can give your website a title and description to inform users who you are and what you do. More importantly this is what users will see if they search for your website in a search engine.
Keywords are words which you or a respective user associate with your website. This is only a very small part of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and does not guarantee your site will be listed in google.
Pages
The Pages module is where you can edit and remove your pages. Simply click the edit or delete link next to the page you wish to edit or delete.
Editing your pages couldn't be easier, simply change the pages title and the content using the editor box provided and click the 'Update Page' button and your site is instantly updated!.
Menu Manager
This is where you give users access to the pages you have created. This modules allows you to add links to the navigation, these links could be a link to a page within your website, a link to an external website or to one of your installed modules such as 'Contact Us'
Additional Modules
Contact Us
The Contact Us module does exactly what it says on the tin. It allows your websites visitors to get in contact with you via a number of ways.
Your E-Mail address, Business Address and contact telephone numbers are show above an online form. this allows your visitor the ability to contact you via the website form or if they do not wish to do so they can use one of the other 3 alternate methods.
This ensures you are giving your customers every possible way to get in touch.
Search
The search module allows visitors to search your whole website. In the admin section you can also see your websites top 10 searches to allow you to make a highly searched item more accessible
Gallery
StartASites gallery functionality allows you to have mutlipe images in multiple galleries. You can upload as many images as you need and order them in whichever order suits your need.
Area Based Contact
With the Area Based Contact module you can set specific contact details based upon the constomers location. You can set specific numbers to a specific city or region and even set a default number to display for everyone outside of the specific areas.
Custom Form
Our custom form allows you to create a form with any field you require. You can gather information such as their name , address, phone number or even their pets name. Its up to you!
